新春佳节，万家团圆。新疆准噶尔盆地南缘，零下26℃的茫茫雪原上，一个个穿越农田、灌渠、林带的红色身影格外醒目。及膝积雪中，中国石油集团东方地球物理勘探有限责任公司新疆物探处分公司（简称“新疆物探处”）275队的石油物探工人正艰难跋涉。

During the Spring Festival, thousands of families are reunited. On the southern edge of Junggar Basin, Xinjiang, the temperature is minus 26 degrees. Red figures crossing farmland, irrigation canals and forest belts are particularly eye-catching. In the knee-deep snow, the oil geophysical prospecting workers of Team 275 are trudging hard. They are employed by China National Petroleum Corporation Oriental Geophysical Exploration Co., Ltd. (also known as "Xinjiang Geophysical Exploration Company").

物探被形容为“给地球做CT”，地震勘探是石油物探中精度较高的方法。物探工人通过实施模拟地震，采集地震波数据，帮助科研人员“看清”地下岩层结构，“听清”地层“脉搏跳动”，这是油气勘探的第一步。

Geophysical prospecting is described as "doing CT for the earth". Seismic exploration is a high-precision method in petroleum geophysical prospecting. Geophysical prospecting workers can help researchers "see" the underground rock structure and "hear" the "pulse" of the stratum by simulating earthquakes and collecting seismic wave data, which is the first step in oil and gas exploration.

“我们找油找气就是为了能让更多人温暖过节。”数九寒天，新疆物探处275队队长李栓贵和工人们冻得满脸通红。他告诉记者，为抓住时间窗口，尽量减少天气转暖物探对农田影响，春节期间，400多位物探工人坚守岗位，在寒冬雪原中加紧施工作业。

"We are expolring oil and gas in order to warm more people for the holidays." In the depth of winter, Li Shuangui, captain of Team 275 and other workers were flushed with cold. He told reporters that in order to narrow the window of time and minimize the impact of geophysical prospecting and warmer weather on farmland. During the Spring Festival, more than 400 geophysical prospecting workers stood at their posts and accelerated to construction in the snowfield.

“记不清是第几个不在家的春节了。”55岁的李栓贵春节与家人团圆的次数屈指可数。在天山南北奔波35载的他，即将离开物探作业一线，这是他负责的最后一个物探项目，“虽然年龄大了，身体也不允许，但还是有点恋恋不舍。”

"I can't remember how many times I've been away from home during the Spring Festival." The 55-year-old Li Bolangui who has run around in the north and south of Tianshan for 35 years, reunion with his family a handful of times in the New Year. He is about to leave the front line and this is the last physical prospecting project he is in charge of, "Although I am old and in poor health, I am still a bit reluctant to part."

踏戈壁进沙漠、穿林海跨雪原、爬陡坡登高山……越是荒凉的地方，越有可能蕴藏丰富的油气资源，正因如此，物探工人常常在荒郊野外、渺无人烟的地方一待就是几个月，遭遇极寒、高温、沙暴等极端天气是家常便饭。

Gobi into the desert, cross the snow field through the forest, climb steep slopes and mountains... The more desolate the place is, the more likely it is rich in oil and gas. For this reason, geophysical prospecting workers often stay in the wild and uninhabited places for several months, and it is common to encounter extreme weather such as extreme cold, high temperature and sandstorm.

李栓贵说，野外寒风刺骨，公司给每个工人都配发了各类保暖防寒用品，但在雪地里待久了还是会冻透，“大家都能理解，这就是我们的工作性质，等到天气转暖、积雪融化，我们的设备、车辆就没法进到农田里了。”

Li Shuangui said that the cold wind in the wild is biting. The company distributes all kinds of warm and cold-proof products to every worker, but it will still freeze through after staying in the snow for a long time. "Everyone understand that this is the nature of our work. When the weather gets warmer and the snow melts, our equipment and vehicles can't be transported into the farmland."

沿着规划好的笔直线路，扛着十几斤重的设备线圈，扒开几十厘米深的厚厚积雪，用榔头和钢钎给检波器钉出接收地震波的孔洞……见到工人帕尔哈提·努尔敦时，他正在公路旁的麦地里重复上述动作。田地冻得硬硬实实，光是刨开积雪都相当吃力，时间长了冻僵的手不听使唤，要反复搓手才能继续作业。长时间户外工作，帕尔哈提·努尔敦变成了“白眉大侠”，眉毛和睫毛结满厚厚的白霜。

The hole for receiving seismic waves was nailed to the geophone with a hammer and steel drill... When we met the worker Perhat Khaliq Nurdun, he was repeating the above actions in the wheat field beside the highway. The field is frozen hard and solid, just plowing through the snow are quite strenuous. After working outdoors for a long time, his hands get numb. So he has to rub hands repeatedly in order to continue to work. Perhat Khaliq Nurdun became a "white-browed warrior", with thick frost on his eyebrows and eyelashes.

“一天走10到12公里，直直地走，遇到什么就穿过去，”帕尔哈提·努尔敦说，在雪地里工作需要一直活动，停下来一会脚就冻麻了。他所在的新安作业区块，三维物探项目覆盖面积300多平方公里，“施工时间紧张，大家都加班加点干活。”

"Walk 10 to 12 kilometers a day, walk straight, and pass through whatever you encounter," said Perhat Khaliq Nurdun. Working in the snow requires constant moving, and if you stop for a while, your feet will be numb with cold. In the Xin'an operation block where he is located, the three-dimensional geophysical prospecting project covers an area of more than 300 square kilometers. "There is a narrow window and everyone works overtime."

除夕之夜，物探工人在营地加餐，八个菜凑成一桌“丰盛”的年夜饭,而在作业区依然有人24小时不间断施工。新疆物探处275队指导员唐维说，物探施工中的测量、放线、查线、收线等一道道工序都需工人操作完成，“项目投入4万多套设备、车辆，时间宝贵，一刻也耽误不起。”唐维说。

On New Year's Eve, workers cooked more meals in the camp.Eight dishes made up a "rich" New Year's Eve dinner. But there were still people working 24 hours a day in the operation area. Tang Wei, instructor of Team 275 of Xinjiang Geophysical Exploration Department, said that the surveying, setting-out, line checking and line taking-up processes in geophysical exploration construction need to be operated by workers. "The project has involved more than 40,000 sets of equipment and vehicles. Time is precious and can't be delayed for a moment."

大年初一，帐篷里的食堂早早煮好了饺子，多年没有回家过年的工人罗磊吃得有滋有味，“吃顿饺子就是过年了。”说完，要接替夜班工友的他赶紧坐上开往施工现场的大巴。

On New Year's Day, the canteen in the tent prepared jiaozi early. Luo Lei, a worker who had not gone home for the New Year for many years, enjoyed them with flavor. "Jiaozi features the New Year." After saying this, to replace the night shift workers, he quickly got on the bus bound for the construction site.

“能给国家找油找气，为国家能源事业做贡献，我这30多年没有白干。”李栓贵说完和工人们再次出发。

"I can contribute to the national energy cause for exploring oil and gas. I have not work in vain for more than 30 years." said Li Shuangui. He set off again with the workers.
