在智博会举办的场馆外不远处，是重庆首个智慧轨道交通示范车站——地铁国博线国博中心站，多处综合信息显示设备向乘客展示着首末班车、列车到站、卫生间使用情况等信息。

近年来，重庆以轨道交通为重点推动城市公共交通网络建设，进一步提速实施城市轨道交通成网计划，加快打造“轨道上的都市区”。今年以来，9号线一期、4号线二期、江跳线共3条（段）93公里线路开通运营，全市在建及运营里程已达732公里，其中运营里程已达478公里。下半年，重庆将加快推进12条（段）、254公里在建线路建设，再开通9号线二期、10号线二期、5号线北延伸段共3条（段）、23公里线路，力争年底实现轨道交通运营里程突破500公里。
