修志——续写香港历史记忆

刘蜀永从事香港历史研究已整整40年。1982年，刘蜀永研究生毕业进入中国社会科学院近代史研究所工作。此时正逢中英谈判开始，香港史课题组应运而生，刘蜀永的研究方向由此转为香港史。
Liu Shuyong has been engaged in the study of Hong Kong history for 40 years. In 1982, Liu Shuyong graduated as a postgraduate and worked in the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. At this time, when the Sino British negotiations began, the Hong Kong History Research Group came into being, and Liu Shuyong's research direction changed to Hong Kong history.
香港在明清时期隶属广州府新安县，英国占领香港后，没有进行任何修志工作。国有史，地方有志。编修地方志是中国的文化传统，具有“存史、资政、育人”的功能，岂能缺失？
Hong Kong was under the jurisdiction of Xin'an County, Guangzhou Prefecture, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. After the British occupation of Hong Kong, they did not carry out any revision work. 从1997年香港回归祖国开始，刘蜀永怀着历史学者的责任感积极呼吁修志。2005年，已退休的刘蜀永应岭南大学之邀来港研究香港史，并成为推动地方志编修的领军人物之一。

香港修志采用“政府支持、社会参与、学者主修”的模式。由于早期社会共识不足，加之需要自负盈亏，当时香港修志之路困难重重。
Hong Kong's annals revision adopts the mode of "government support, social participation and scholars' major". Due to the lack of early social consensus and the need to be responsible for its own profits and losses, there were many difficulties in Hong Kong's ambition revision at that time.
在中央和特区政府的大力支持下，团结香港基金2019年成立了香港地方志中心，全面启动修志工作。经过刘蜀永和团队的不懈努力，2020年底，被誉为“具有崇高历史意义和文化价值”的《香港志》首册正式面世，续写香港的历史记忆。
With the strong support of the Central Government and the SAR Government, the Solidarity Hong Kong Foundation established the Hong Kong Chronicles Center in 2019, which launched the work of revising the chronicles in an all-round way. 寻根——编撰香港第一本村志
Seeking Roots-Compiling the First Village Records in Hong Kong
40年的香港史研究，前23年在北京，后17年在香港。这样独特的经历让刘蜀永在历史研究上兼具宏观视野和地方视角。
40 years of research on the history of Hong Kong, the first 23 years in Beijing and the last 17 years in Hong Kong. This unique experience makes Liu Shuyong have both macro and local perspectives in historical research.
“内地学者较多依据文献资料进行研究，历史视野开阔，站位高；香港学者注重个案研究，更深入细致。”刘蜀永说。他与两位本地历史学者刘智鹏、丁新豹组成香港史学界“二刘一丁”团队，取长补短，推动香港史志研究更上一层楼，也促进香港与内地史学交流更密切。

刘蜀永以一个客家村庄为试点编修的《莲麻坑村志》，不但成为香港第一本村志，还被列入中国地方志指导小组的中国名村志系列。
Liu Shuyong's Lianmakeng Village Records, compiled by a Hakka village as a pilot, has not only become the first village records in Hong Kong, but also been included in the series of famous Chinese village records of the Chinese Local Records Steering Group.
“这个客家村很有特点，位于深港边境，与内地关系密切，历史内涵丰富，出了不少爱国的仁人志士。”刘蜀永说，他和团队走村串户访问村民，“通过族谱和口述历史，追溯村内各家族的历史”。

育人——推动抗战纪念馆成立

今年9月，香港首个抗战纪念馆——沙头角抗战纪念馆作为爱国主义教育基地正式开放。“展览内容和版面设计都是我把关的。”刘蜀永很自豪。

近几年，他和团队对港九大队进行专题研究，联合香港广州社团总会、东江纵队历史研究会等团体，研究历史文献，寻找抗战遗址，并共同提议成立抗战纪念馆。

为寻找港九大队当年的军需品仓库，刘蜀永一行人行走在新界的荒山野岭，最终在西贡区一带找到了两处岩洞仓库。当时山上长满野树杂草，完全没有路。得知他们要去寻找遗址，当地村民自发前来用砍刀“劈”出一条路。

香港人素有爱国传统，比如新界抗英、港九大队抗日等，近代以来留下了不少历史遗址。刘蜀永认为，这些珍贵遗址亟待保护和开发利用。香港年轻一代可以从认识自己的生活环境开始，了解与内地的紧密联系。

“这几条线路自然风光美，在关键节点设碑介绍，能集历史回忆与自然保护为一体，让人们在登山健行中回望历史。”刘蜀永说，香港人喜欢行山，在大自然中接受历史教育，效果更佳。
"The natural scenery of these lines is beautiful. Monuments are set up at key nodes to introduce them, which can integrate historical memories and natural conservation, so that people can look back on history during hiking." Liu Shuyong said that Hong Kong people like to walk in the mountains and receive historical education in nature, with better results.
与香港结缘40年，香港已成为刘蜀永不能割舍的牵挂。虽已杖朝之年，他的日程表总安排得满满当当。“总有一种使命感、紧迫感，想多做一些，回报国家，回报香港。”刘蜀永说。
