2022年12月3日，中老铁路开通运营一周年之际，磨憨铁路口岸进境水果指定监管场地正式投用。中老铁路首列进口水果直达列车由老挝万象出发到达磨憨口岸，经过铁路、海关、边检等部门严格查验和检疫程序后，发往昆明。
