4月7日下午3时32分，由航空工业全新研制的四吨级先进双发多用途直升机“吉祥鸟”AC332，在天津完成全状态首次飞行，并与首发用户签订24架采购协议和意向协议。这也标志着国家航空应急救援体系和高原地区通航运营再添硬核急需装备。

我国丘陵山地面积占国土面积66％，按海拔高度统计，超过3000米的约占25％。复杂的地理环境和自然环境给高原地区交通运输、应急救援等业务带来不便，且我国航空应急救援装备总量不充足，与国土面积、人口总量不匹配。

“AC332直升机以在海拔4500米、标准大气（ISA）+25℃的起降条件下，实现飞行高度6000米、航程600公里和商载600公斤的‘三个6’为目标，使用性能、使用成本与国外同级别先进直升机相当，并形成高原性能优势。尤其是在高海拔地区，可以高效完成人员物资运输、应急救援、医疗救护、公务执法等多种任务，并满足高原地区现有及规划机场间的转运要求。”AC332直升机总设计师李生伟说。

据介绍，AC332直升机基于需求侧创新理念，按照CCAR-29最新适航要求研制，瞄准目标市场，采用单旋翼、高置涵道尾桨、滑橇起落架和蛤壳式后舱门布局，可搭载10名乘客，最大起飞重量3850kg，最大巡航速度260km/h，最大航程693km，兼顾更优使用性能、更低使用成本和多样化构型需求。

AC332直升机于2019年完成详细设计评审，2022年完成高原运输、搜索救援、医疗救护3种任务构型加改装总体技术方案，通过自主创新填补国内多项技术空白，其中涵道尾桨气动性能地面试验是国内首次开展的地面条件下完全模拟真机进行的涵道尾桨性能试验，项目团队研制了一套全新的涵道尾桨性能试验台，解决相关技术难题，获得较高的控制测量精度和效率。
The detailed design review of AC332 helicopter was completed in 2019, and the overall technical scheme of plateau transportation, search and rescue, and medical rescue was completed in 2022. Through independent innovation, many technical gaps in China were filled. Among them, the ground test of ducted tail rotor aerodynamic performance was carried out for the first time in China, which completely simulated the real machine under ground conditions. The project team developed a brand-new ducted tail rotor performance test bench to solve related technical problems and obtain high control measurement accuracy and efficiency.
2021年，部装和总装生产线在中国航空工业集团有限公司天津直升机有限责任公司（以下简称“航空工业天直”）建成并投入使用。2022年，该架机完成总装工作。预计2025年取得型号合格证。
