Peru regards China as a valuable partner (international forum)

7月28日是秘鲁共和国的国庆日。每个秘鲁人都怀着对国家主权和独立的自豪感欢庆纪念这个日子。

July 28th is the National Day of the Republic of Peru. Every Peru celebrates this day with a sense of pride in national sovereignty and independence.

201年前，秘鲁实现独立，开启了漫长的发展道路。今天，我们依然坚定不移地为推动国家发展而努力，克服挑战，造福秘鲁全体人民。

Peru achieved independence 201 years ago and began a long road of development. Today, we remain steadfast in making efforts to promote national development and overcome challenges for the benefit of all Peru people.

在这个漫长的过程中，秘鲁得到了战略伙伴们的支持，其中就包括与我们关系深厚的中华人民共和国。我们两国都是古老文明的摇篮，是太平洋两岸的邻里，浩瀚的太平洋隔不断两国的相知相亲。

In this long process, Peru has received supports from strategic partners, including the People's Republic of China, with which we have deep relations. Peru and China are both the cradles of ancient civilizations and neighbors on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. Even the vast Pacific Ocean can not be the barrier of the mutual understanding and appreciation between the two countries.

秘中两国1971年11月2日建立外交关系，但两国人民之间的联系很早以前便已存在。从十九世纪中叶开始，来自中国的移民便抵达秘鲁，为秘鲁发展作出重要贡献。目前，秘鲁人口中大约10%都有中国血统。

Peru and China established diplomatic relations on November 2, 1971, but ties between the people of two countries have existed for a long time. Since the middle of the 19th century, immigrants from China have arrived in Peru and made important contributions to Peru's development. Currently, about 10 percent of Peru's population is of Chinese descent.

秘鲁同中华人民共和国建立了全面战略伙伴关系。2010年3月，秘中自贸协定正式生效实施。目前，双方正积极推进自贸协定升级谈判。两国还是共建“一带一路”合作伙伴。秘鲁将担任2024年亚太经合组织领导人非正式会议东道主，愿与中国保持密切沟通，共同推动该机制发展。

Peru has established a comprehensive strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China. In March 2010, the free trade agreement between Peru and China officially came into effect and practice. At present, the two sides are actively promoting negotiations on upgrading the FTA. The two countries are also partners in jointly constructing the Belt and Road Initiative. Peru will host the APEC Leaders 'Informal Meeting in 2024 and is willing to maintain close communication with China to jointly promote the development of the mechanism.

中国是秘鲁的主要贸易伙伴，是秘鲁第一大出口目的地国，也是秘鲁主要进口来源国。此外，中国是秘鲁在多个领域的重要合作伙伴。秘鲁也是中国在拉美的第二大投资目的地。

China is Peru's major trading partner, largest export destination and main import source country. In addition, China is an important partner of Peru in many fields. Peru is also China's second largest investment destination in Latin America.

秘鲁视中国为宝贵的合作伙伴，两国经济互补性强，正在不断探索在科学、技术和创新方面的合作机会。秘鲁对中国科学发展充满信心，向中国国药集团购买该集团生产的新冠病毒灭活疫苗。中国也是第一个向秘鲁提供疫苗的国家。

Peru regards China as a valuable partner. The economies of the two countries are highly complementary and both countries are constantly exploring opportunities for cooperation in science, technology and innovation. Peru is fully confident in China's scientific development and purchased the inactivated vaccine produced by China National Pharmaceutical Group from the Group. China was also the first country to provide vaccines for Peru.

2021年，我们庆祝秘中建交50周年，恰逢秘鲁独立200周年和中国共产党成立100周年。中国是国际舞台上的重要角色，也是发展中国家共同关心的全球合作的倡导者。我愿继续致力于深化我们各层级交往。

In 2021, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Peru and China, coinciding with the 200th anniversary of Peru's independence and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. China plays an important role in the international arena and is an advocate of global cooperation which developing countries share common concerns. I am ready to continue to be dedicated to deepening our exchanges at all levels.

秘鲁独立日是一个充满理想的、鼓舞人心的日子。展望未来，秘中两国将不断深化各领域合作，进一步巩固两国古老而牢固的友谊。

Peru's Independence Day was a day of ideals and inspiration. Looking ahead, Peru and China will continue to deepen cooperations in various fields and further consolidate the ancient and solid friendship between the two countries.
