2024 Rong-Europe International University Mountain Bike Challenge Held
6月8-9日，由亚洲自行车联合会、中国自行车运动协会、成都市体育局共同指导，四川省自行车运动协会、成都市青白江区人民政府联合主办，成都市青白江区文化广电体育和旅游局、成都市青白江区福洪镇人民政府承办的“2024年蓉欧国际大学生山地自行车挑战赛”，在四川省成都市青白江区福洪镇盛大举办，吸引了众多山地自行车爱好者和游客前来参与。
From June 8th to 9th, the "2024 Rongou International University Student Mountain Bike Challenge" was grandly held in Fuhong Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The event was guided by the Asian Cycling Confederation, the Chinese Cycling Association, and the Chengdu Sports Bureau, jointly organized by the Sichuan Cycling Association and the People's Government of Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu, and undertaken by the Qingbaijiang District Culture, Radio, Television, Sports, and Tourism Bureau and the People's Government of Fuhong Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu. It attracted numerous mountain biking enthusiasts and tourists to participate.

青白江区内的四川省山地自行车训练基地作为四川地区规模最大的户外自行车训练基地，承载了培养优秀山地自行车运动员的重要使命。此次比赛地点更是选址于享有“山地运动之乡”美誉的福洪镇三元村，旨在通过竞赛活动，进一步推动山地运动的普及与发展。
Mountain bike training base in Sichuan Province in Qingbaijiang District, as the largest outdoor bike training base in Sichuan, bears the important mission of cultivating excellent mountain bike athletes. The venue of this competition is located in Sanyuan Village, Fuhong Town, which enjoys the reputation of "Mountain Sports Town", aiming to further promote the popularization and development of mountain sports through competition activities.

本次挑战赛是专为大学生设计的山地车赛事，吸引了来自四川、重庆、云南、贵州、北京、上海等多个省市的41所高校共计300余名运动员及5个国家20余名外籍运动员参赛。赛事的举办不仅为选手们提供了一个展示自己技能和竞技水平的平台，更促进了全国各地高校车协之间的交流与合作。本次比赛的举办充分展示了我国山地自行车运动的蓬勃发展态势，也必将对推动山地自行车运动的普及与提高产生积极影响。
This challenge was a mountain bike event specially designed for university students, attracting over 300 athletes from 41 colleges across Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Guizhou, Beijing, Shanghai, and other regions, as well as more than 20 international riders from five countries. The competition not only provided a platform for participants to showcase their skills and competitive spirit but also fostered exchanges and collaboration among university cycling associations nationwide. The successful hosting of this event highlighted the rapid growth of mountain biking in China and is set to have a positive impact on promoting the sport’s popularity and development.
本次挑战赛设置大学生团体接力赛、大学生男子个人赛、大学生女子个人赛等多个竞赛项目，旨在让各位选手在风光旖旎的自然山路上尽展骑技，深入体验骑行运动所蕴含的无限自由与澎湃激情。除却紧张刺激的赛事竞技，本次大赛亦注重融入休闲旅游元素，特别安排了户外露营、亲子家庭采摘节游园活动、世运会项目推广活动以及篝火晚会等一系列富有特色的主题活动，旨在为广大参赛选手及游客打造一场难以忘怀的精彩体验。
This championship featured multiple competitive categories including a university team relay, men's individual race, and women's individual race—all designed to let riders showcase their skills on breathtaking natural trails while immersing themselves in the boundless freedom and exhilarating passion of mountain biking. Beyond the intense racing action, the event seamlessly blended leisure and tourism elements. A series of unique side activities were organized, including outdoor camping, a family-friendly fruit-picking festival, promotional events for The World Games, and a lively bonfire night. These additions transformed the competition into an unforgettable experience for both participants and spectators alike.
成都市青白江区福洪镇，是四川省乡村旅游特色乡镇，作为四川省山地自行车训练基地所在地，已成功举办了亚洲山地自行车锦标赛、多届全国山地自行车冠军赛、全国U系列青少年锦标赛，吸引了全国乃至国际关注。赛事举办地三元村，各类专业设施一应俱全，包括各类型自行车赛道，为选手们提供了竞技的舞台，同时境内拥有三座人工湖，区域内森林和草皮覆盖率极高，展现出独特的自然风貌，能让选手在竞技时也能领略到迷人的自然景色。村内还保存有建于清代的摩崖石刻，并有登山路径推荐，为游客提供了更多户外活动选择。
Fuhong Town, Qingbaijiang District, Chengdu City, is a rural tourism characteristic town in Sichuan Province. As the location of mountain bike training base in Sichuan Province, Fuhong Town has successfully held Asian Mountain Bike Championships, National Mountain Bike Championships and National U Series Youth Championships, attracting national and even international attention. Sanyuan Village, the venue of the event, has all kinds of professional facilities, including various types of bicycle tracks, providing a competitive stage for athletes. At the same time, there are three artificial lakes in the territory. The forest and turf coverage rate in the area is extremely high, showing unique natural features, allowing athletes to enjoy charming natural scenery during competition. There are also cliff carvings built in Qing Dynasty preserved in the village, and there are mountain climbing route recommendations, providing tourists with more outdoor activities to choose from.
近年来，青白江区坚持以“体教融合筑基固本、提升竞技培元育灵”为青少年体育工作指南，在扎实做好学校体育工作的同时，倾力打造“631”体育后备人才培养体系，组建了自行车、武术、曲棍球等10个项目30支学校区级高水平运动项目预备队建设，与成都市体育局共建了自行车、武术散打项目市级高水平运动队，代表成都市参加省第十四届运动会、省青少年锦标赛均取得优异成绩。2023年，自行车队参加2023年省锦标赛获金牌2枚、铜牌2枚，参加全国首届学生(青年)运动会获金牌4枚、银牌1枚、铜牌2枚，为成都市体育代表团争得了荣誉，为成都市青少年竞技体育发展贡献了青白江力量。(图文/四川省自行车运动协会)
In recent years, Qingbaijiang District has adhered to the guideline of "integrating sports and education to build foundation and strengthen foundation and improve competitive cultivation" for youth sports work. While doing a solid job in school sports work, it has made every effort to build a "631" sports reserve talent training system. It has set up reserve teams for 30 school district-level sports events in 10 events such as bicycle, martial arts and hockey. It has co-built municipal high-level sports teams for bicycle and martial arts free combat events with Chengdu City Sports Bureau. On behalf of Chengdu City, he participated in the 14th Provincial Games and the Provincial Youth Championships and achieved excellent results. In 2023, the cycling team won 2 gold medals and 2 bronze medals in the 2023 Provincial Championships, 4 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 2 bronze medals in the first National Student (Youth) Games, winning honors for Chengdu City Sports Delegation and contributing Qingbaijiang strength to the development of youth competitive sports in Chengdu City.
