The reporter learned from the National Space Administration: At 15:56 on June 14, my country used the Long March 2D carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center to successfully launch the electromagnetic monitoring satellite "Zhangheng No. 1" 02. The launch vehicle put the satellite into a predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success. This represents another major achievement in building China's detection capabilities in the field of geophysical field space observation, further enhancing China's "space-air-ground" three-dimensional monitoring capabilities for major natural disasters.
The "Zhang Heng-1 02 Star" is the first operational satellite for geophysical field detection in the medium- and long-term development plan of China's civil space infrastructure. It has a design life of 6 years and carries 9 payloads, including the electric field detector developed by China and Italy., High-energy particle detector developed by Italy, etc. The satellite will carry out quasi-real-time monitoring of relevant parameters of global electromagnetic fields, electromagnetic waves, ionosphere, and neutral atmosphere, capture information such as electromagnetic anomalies caused by geological activities and human activities, thunderstorms and lightning activities in the atmosphere, and effectively improve my country's earthquake and tsunami, Early perception, risk assessment, monitoring and early warning capabilities of major natural disasters such as volcanic activity and thunderstorms, provide data support for emergency management, resource mapping, communication and navigation industries, and facilitate scientific and technological cooperation in related fields among countries along the Belt and Road Initiative.
