Beijing，Aug.12(Xinhua)-The State Council Information Office on Aug 12 released a white paper titled "Moderate Prosperity in All Respects: Another Milestone Achieved in China's Human Rights."
The white paper states that building a moderately prosperous society in all respects is a major national development strategy pursued by the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government to enhance people’s well-being, raise human-rights protection for all the people and achieve national modernization. China has built a moderately prosperous society in all respects, consolidating the foundation for human rights, enriching the connotation of human rights and broadening the vision of human rights. This means the all-round development and sharing of human rights by all people. It has written a new chapter in China's human rights cause and created a miracle for mankind in respecting and protecting human rights.
The white paper points out that building a moderately prosperous society in all respects opens up a new realm in the cause of human rights, eliminates absolute poverty and ensures the people’s right to a basic standard of living. It promotes human rights through development, advances economic, social and cultural rights, improves laws and good governance, protects civil and political rights, promotes social fairness, and protects the rights and interests of specific groups.
The white paper states that China's population accounts for nearly one-fifth of the world's total population., and that building a moderately prosperous society in all respects is an important milestone in the development history of human rights in the world. In the great process of building a moderately prosperous society, China's successful practices and experiences in respecting and protecting human rights have contributed Chinese wisdom and provided Chinese solutions to improve people’s well-being.
The White Paper points out that there is always room for improving human rights protection.Building a moderately prosperous societ has set a new starting point for China's human rights development . On the new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respaets, the Communist Party of China will base itself on the new development stage, implement the new development philosophy, foster a new development paradigm, pursue high-quality development.It will continue to lead all the people in striving for happier and healthier lives and a higher-level human rights. China will certainly make new and greater contributions to the development of human rights in the world.
