Chinese Vice President Han Zheng attended and delivered a address at the opening ceremony of the 14th World Peace Forum at Tsinghua University on July 3, 2026.
韩正表示，当前世界百年变局加速演进，国际形势变乱交织，地缘冲突此起彼伏，各种风险挑战和治理赤字更加突出。习近平主席提出全球治理倡议，推动构建更加公正合理的全球治理体系，为世界注入了宝贵的稳定性和正能量。
Han said that profound changes unseen in a century are accelerating, the international situation is intertwined with chaos. Geopolitical conflicts arise one after another, and various risks, challenges and governance deficits are more prominent. President Xi Jinping put forward the Global Governance Initiative, which promoted the construction of a more just and reasonable global governance system, and injected valuable stability and positive energy into the world.
韩正提出四点建议。一是坚定维护联合国权威和地位。中国始终以实际行动维护联合国在国际事务中的核心作用，忠实履行安理会常任理事国职责和使命，愿同各国共同维护战后国际秩序，捍卫国际公平正义。
He four suggestions. First, we will firmly uphold the authority and status of the United Nations. China has always taken practical actions to safeguard the central role of the United Nations in international affairs, faithfully performed its duties and missions as a permanent member of the Security Council, and stands ready to work with all countries to uphold the post‑war international order and defend international fairness and justice.
二是深化拓展多边机制合作。中国将以主办亚太经合组织第三十三次领导人非正式会议为契机，同各方携手构建亚太共同体。加强在联合国等多边机制中的协调配合，践行真正的多边主义，维护全球南方共同利益。
Second, we will deepen and expand cooperation between multilateral mechanisms. China will take the occasion of hosting the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting to work with other parties in building an Asia-Pacific Community.China will strengthen coordination and cooperation in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations, practice genuine multilateralism, and safeguard the common interests of the Global South.
三是推动完善全球经济治理。中国提出平等、开放、合作、共享的全球经济治理观，主张构建和维护公平公正、开放包容、合作共赢的国际经济秩序。中国将继续扩大高水平对外开放，同各国共同推动普惠包容的经济全球化。
Third, we will advance sound global economic governance global economic governance. China has put forward the vision for global economic governance concept of equality, openness, cooperation and sharing, and advocates building and maintaining an international economic order that is fair, just, open, inclusive and win-win cooperation. China will continue to pursue high‑standard opening‑up and jointly promote inclusive economic globalization with other countries.
四是加强人工智能等新兴领域治理。中国提出《全球人工智能治理倡议》，倡导坚持以人为本、智能向善。中方将以举办世界人工智能大会暨人工智能全球治理高级别会议为契机，同各方加强交流合作，推动形成具有广泛共识的全球人工智能治理体系。
Fourth, we will strengthen the governance of emerging fields such as artificial intelligence. China has put forward Global AI Governance Initiative, which advocates adhering to people-centered approach and AI for good. China will take the opportunity of hosting the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) and the High-level Meeting on Global AI Governance as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with all parties and promote the formation of a Global AI Governance system with broad consensus.
巴基斯坦参议院国防委员会前主席穆沙希德、韩国前外长金星焕等外国前政要、驻华使节、中外学者等约400人与会。
About 400 people attended the meeting, including former foreign dignitaries, diplomatic envoys in China, Chinese and foreign scholars, such as Mushahid, former chairman of the National Defense Committee of the Pakistani Senate, Kim Sung-hwan, former foreign minister of the Republic of Korea.
