Air China and CFM International celebrate 25 years of cooperation and renew joint venture agreement

《中国民航报》、中国民航网 记者张人尹 报道：11月20日，中国国际航空股份有限公司（以下简称“国航”）与CFM国际公司（GE航空航天与赛峰飞机发动机公司50/50平股合资企业）共同庆祝双方在四川国际航空发动机维修有限公司（SSAMC，以下简称“四川国际”）的合作超25年，同时宣布将四川国际的合资协议再延长20年。

Zhang Renyin, a reporter from China Civil Aviation News and China Civil Aviation Network, reported: On November 20th, Air China (hereinafter referred to as "Air China") and CFM International (a 50/50 equal joint venture between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engine Company) jointly celebrated the cooperation between the two parties in Sichuan International Aero Engine Maintenance Co., Ltd. (SSAMC, hereinafter referred to as "Sichuan International") for more than 25 years, and announced that the joint venture agreement of Sichuan International would be extended for another 20 years.

The renewal of the partnership between Air China and CFM International will enable Sichuan International to further expand its LEAP engine maintenance capabilities and support the strong growth of its LEAP engine fleet in China. Through this new agreement, the partners reaffirm their shared commitment to engine reliability, operational efficiency and technological innovation, cementing Sichuan International's position as the MRO supplier of choice for LEAP engines in China.

"China is the growth engine for CFM International's business in the Asia-Pacific region. Currently, more than 2,700 Airbus, Boeing and COMAC aircraft powered by CFM series engines are operating in China, with more than 1,000 aircraft waiting to be delivered. Sichuan International is critical to ensuring that these fleet operate with the high reliability and high attendance rates that are hallmarks of CFM series engines." Alan Kelly, general manager of LEAP engine services at GE Aerospace.

据了解，四川国际成立于1999年，最初由斯奈克玛（Snecma，现赛峰飞机发动机公司）与中国西南航空公司合资创立。2010年，该公司转变为国航与CFM国际的合资企业，双方股权占比为60/40。自成立以来，四川国际已完成超过2500次CFM56系列发动机进厂维修，并在过去7年中完成了近200次LEAP系列发动机进厂维修。目前，该维修基地已为中国及亚洲地区超过70家航空公司提供支持，包括国航及其子公司，以及中国大多数航空公司。

It is understood that Sichuan International was established in 1999, initially by Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engine Company) and China Southwest Airlines joint venture. In 2010, the company was transformed into a joint venture between Air China and CFM International, with a 60/40 stake. Since its establishment, Sichuan International has completed more than 2500 incoming repairs of CFM56 series engines and nearly 200 incoming repairs of LEAP series engines in the past 7 years. At present, the maintenance base has provided support for more than 70 airlines in China and Asia, including Air China and its subsidiaries, as well as most Chinese airlines.

在航空发动机MRO领域，四川国际是中国最大的发动机维修设施之一。目前该公司在成都市双流区拥有两处厂址，现有员工超过800名：一处厂址位于自贸区内，拥有面积达35000平方米的维修车间；另一处厂址则为毗邻双流机场的发动机试车台。（编辑：许浩存 校对：李佳洹 审核：韩磊）

In the field of aero engine MRO, Sichuan International is one of the largest engine maintenance facilities in China. At present, the company has two plant sites in Shuangliu District, Chengdu, with more than 800 employees: one site is located in the free trade zone, with a maintenance workshop with an area of 35000 square meters; the other site is adjacent to Shuangliu Airport Engine test bench.
