On November 14, Liang Nan, deputy director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, met with Tuka, CEO of Finnair, in Beijing. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on issues such as Finnair's operations in China, China-Europe aviation market prospects, and green development of civil aviation.
Liang Nan introduced the recovery and green development status of China's air transport market. She said that with the continuous optimization and adjustment of China's visa policy and the continuous improvement of customs clearance facilitation level, passengers' willingness to enter and leave the country has increased, and China's air transport market has recovered steadily. CAAC will continue to support Finnair's operations in China. It is hoped that Finnair will make good use of the Helsinki hub airport to facilitate personnel exchanges between China and Finland and jointly promote the development of the China-Europe air transport market.
Tuka thanked the Civil Aviation Administration of China for its long-term support to Finnair's business in China. He said that Finnair has been operating in China for nearly 40 years and has always maintained good cooperation with the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Chinese airports and airlines. Finnair is full of confidence in China's air transport market and plans to increase the Helsinki-Shanghai route to four flights per week from the summer and autumn flight season of 2025, hoping to further deepen cooperation with China's civil aviation.
