Shenzhen Airlines and Chengdu Fukai set up a joint innovation studio

3月12日，深圳航空与成都富凯联合创新工作室挂牌仪式在深圳航空行政楼隆重举行。双方历经18年紧密合作，正式从甲乙方的项目协作升维至体系化、常态化的联合创新新阶段，共同锚定民航关键技术安全自主可控的战略目标，携手为中国民航产业高质量发展注入新动能。

On March 12, the unveiling ceremony for the Joint Innovation Studio of Shenzhen Airlines and Chengdu Fukai was grandly held at the Administration Building of Shenzhen Airlines. After 18 years of close cooperation, the two sides have officially elevated their relationship from project-based collaboration as Party A and Party B to a new stage of systematic and normalized joint innovation. Together, they are anchoring themselves to the strategic goal of ensuring the security, independence, and controllability of key civil aviation technologies and joining hands to inject new momentum into the high-quality development of China’s civil aviation industry.

自2008年首个客舱改装项目合作落地以来，深航与成都富凯已携手走过十八载春秋。其间，双方并肩完成了波音737高端经济舱改装、全机队EFB（电子飞行包）支架加装等数十项高质量维修及工程项目，在长期技术攻坚、高效协同履约中建立了深厚的互信基础，形成了“需求精准对接、技术高效落地、成果快速转化”的良好协作生态。

Since the first cabin retrofit project was launched in 2008, Shenzhen Airlines and Chengdu Fukai have worked hand in hand for 18 years. Over this period, the two sides jointly completed dozens of high-quality maintenance and engineering projects, including the Boeing 737 premium economy cabin retrofit and the fleet-wide installation of EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) mounts. Through long-term technical breakthroughs and efficient, collaborative project delivery, they have built a deep foundation of mutual trust and formed a sound collaborative ecosystem characterized by “precise matching of needs, efficient implementation of technology, and rapid conversion of results.”

As enterprises under China National Aviation Holding Corporation (Air China Group), the two sides complement each other’s strengths and empower each other in both directions. Shenzhen Airlines has been deeply engaged in civil aviation operations for many years. With rich aircraft operation scenarios, mature engineering application experience, and precise insight into needs, it provides solid practical support for their cooperation. Chengdu Fukai, as a national-level high-tech enterprise and a “little giant” enterprise specializing in niche sectors with sophisticated technologies and innovative products recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, possesses full-chain service capabilities covering R&D and design, airworthiness certification, manufacturing, and continued airworthiness assurance. This provides professional safeguards for the implementation of technology and lays a solid foundation for joint innovation.

合作的里程碑式飞跃出现在2025年空客A320系列飞机客舱PSU（旅客服务组件）PMA（零部件制造人批准书）项目中。彼时，双方打破传统甲乙方合作壁垒，组建跨企业、跨专业的创新共同体，并肩打响技术攻坚硬仗。在攻坚过程中，双方深度协同、紧密配合，深航全程参与技术调研、方案优化和适航验证，精准梳理一线维修需求、提供工程应用经验；成都富凯聚焦研发制造与适航取证核心能力，全力攻克OEM（原始设备制造商）技术封锁、适航验证复杂等诸多难题，共同完成近百项适航符合性验证，成功取得国内首个空客A320PSUPMA批准。随后，双方圆满完成45架空客A320飞机改装任务，不仅实现了显著的运营成本节约，更实现了民航关键零部件从“依赖进口”到“自主可控”的重要跨越，填补了国内相关领域技术空白。该项目先后荣获“MRO中国红冠奖之技术突破奖”与“2025年央企产业链创新发展优秀案例”两项荣誉，成为中航集团创新协同的标杆，也充分验证了“需求牵引－技术攻关－适航取证－落地应用”全链条协同模式的高效与可行。

The milestone leap in their cooperation came in 2025 with the Airbus A320 family aircraft cabin PSU (Passenger Service Unit) PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) project. At that time, the two sides broke down the traditional barriers of Party A-Party B cooperation and formed a cross-enterprise, cross-disciplinary innovation community, jointly waging a tough battle in technology. During the process, the two sides collaborated deeply and closely. Shenzhen Airlines participated throughout technical research, solution optimization, and airworthiness verification, precisely identifying frontline maintenance needs and providing engineering application experience. Chengdu Fukai focused on its core capabilities in R&D, manufacturing, and airworthiness certification, striving to overcome numerous difficulties such as OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) technology blockades and complex airworthiness verification. Together, they completed nearly 100 airworthiness compliance verifications and successfully obtained China’s first Airbus A320 PSU PMA approval. Subsequently, the two sides successfully completed the retrofit of 45 Airbus A320 aircraft. This not only achieved significant operational cost savings but also marked an important leap for key civil aviation components from “reliance on imports” to “independent controllability,” filling a technological gap in relevant domestic fields. The project has successively won two honors: the “MRO China Red Crown Award for Technological Breakthrough” and the “2025 Outstanding Case of Innovative Development in the Industrial Chain of Central State-Owned Enterprises.” It has become a benchmark for innovation and collaboration within China National Aviation Holding Corporation (Air China Group) and has fully validated the efficiency and feasibility of the full-chain collaborative model of “demand traction – technological breakthrough – airworthiness certification – implementation and application.”

联合创新工作室的成立，是双方落实集团创新驱动发展战略、响应国家“加快实现高水平科技自立自强”号召的实践，更是将十八年合作经验制度化、常态化的关键，推动双方合作从点状项目式升级为常态化机制化协同创新，为深度合作筑牢平台。作为深化优势互补、推动民航技术创新的重要载体，工作室将聚焦维修工程前沿课题与痛点，汇聚双方力量，将创新想法转化为符合适航标准、贴合市场需求的产品与方案，反哺飞机安全运行与企业卓越运营，同时坚守安全底线、弘扬务实作风、激发协同活力，打造优质创新团队。成都富凯将全力保障资源投入，推动工作室健全协同机制、完善制度保障、加快重点在研项目落地，实现“出成果、出价值、出人才”目标。

The establishment of the Joint Innovation Studio is a practical step by both sides to implement the Group’s innovation-driven development strategy and respond to the national call to “accelerate the realization of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-strengthening.” It is also key to institutionalizing and normalizing 18 years of cooperation experience, upgrading their collaboration from point-based, project-oriented work to normalized, mechanism-based collaborative innovation and building a solid platform for deeper cooperation. As an important vehicle for deepening complementary strengths and advancing civil aviation technological innovation, the studio will focus on frontier topics and pain points in maintenance engineering, pool the strengths of both sides, and transform innovative ideas into products and solutions that meet airworthiness standards and market demand, feeding back into the safe operation of aircraft and excellence in corporate operations. At the same time, it will uphold the safety bottom line, promote a pragmatic work style, stimulate collaborative vitality, and build a high-quality innovation team. Chengdu Fukai will fully guarantee resource investment, help the studio improve collaborative mechanisms, refine institutional safeguards, and accelerate the implementation of key ongoing research projects, so as to achieve the goal of “delivering results, creating value, and cultivating talent.”

展望未来，工作室将聚焦民航关键“卡脖子”领域，打通“研、产、用”全链路，破解机载部件难题、培育创新人才、构建创新生态，实现降本增效与技术突破双赢。双方将以工作室为核心，延续互信协作基础，攻克行业核心技术、产出自主可控成果，为中国民航产业升级贡献力量。

Looking ahead, the studio will focus on key “bottleneck” areas in civil aviation, open up the full chain of R&D, production, and application, overcome challenges in airborne components, cultivate innovative talent, and build an innovation ecosystem, achieving a win-win in both cost reduction and efficiency improvement and technological breakthroughs. With the studio as the core, both sides will build on their foundation of mutual trust and collaboration, tackle core industry technologies, produce independently developed and controllable results, and contribute to the upgrading of China’s civil aviation industry.
