China to hold summit in May to promote global trade, investment

BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- The Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit 2026 will be held in Beijing on May 18, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) announced Wednesday. The summit will focus on new requirements outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for developing new quality productive forces, as well as new trends and hotspots in the global economy, CCPIT spokesperson Wang Guannan told a press conference. Other areas of focus will include the artificial intelligence wave and its role in boosting innovative development in trade and investment, and the promotion of in-depth integration between the service sector and manufacturing, according to Wang. The summit will also release a Beijing Initiative, calling on the global business community to jointly foster new engines for world economic growth and create a more resilient, sustainable and mutually beneficial development landscape. Launched in 2022, this summit has been held annually, becoming a key platform for businesses at home and abroad to enhance communication, deepen cooperation and seek common development.

The figure marks a year-on-year increase of 4.32 percent, according to the North China Air Traffic Management Bureau of Civil Aviation Administration of China. Specifically, the Beijing Capital International Airport is expected to handle 6,160 flights, while Beijing Daxing International Airport is scheduled to operate 5,249 flights. The Beijing Capital International Airport is anticipated to handle more than 1.02 million passenger trips for the holiday. The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) had about 78.34 million members by the end of 2025, with about 9.14 million newly increased members last year, the CYLC Central Committee said on Sunday. BEIJING, April 10 (Xinhua) -- China's civil aviation industry ensured safe operations in the first quarter of 2026, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). From January to March, the industry logged 3.77 million flight hours and 1.41 million takeoffs and landings, up 5.2 percent and 3.4 percent year on year, respectively, data from the CAAC revealed on Friday. 2014年2月-2015年1月，台湾一年。拍摄了许多地方，留下了许多回忆。合欢山是最让我不能忘怀的一个地方。一切的拍摄都是为了等待一束光线的降临。由于环山路的缘故，大型客车不允许上山，这就意味着合欢山这个地方，许许多多的游客都没法前往。但却是台湾最美的景色之一。山势壮硕威武，山容秀丽多姿，有“山岳典型”之美誉。记得前前后后登上合欢山有三次吧，小型车辆可以从山脚下直接开到山顶，大约需要三个多小时的时间，其中不乏有很多重型机车的骑士和公路自行车手。唯独没有见过有人徒步登顶，这也是和其他山脉很不同的地方吧！

ZeroNsile Red Clover farmers make plans for the 2025 season

The ZeroNsile on-farm research project, being delivered by AFBI and AgriSearch aims to examine the feasibility and practicalities of producing silage without the use of manufactured N fertiliser. The research project focus primarily on red clover-based silage swards. One of the twelve farmers involved, Douglas McKenzie (Moy) recently hosted the project group to review sward performance and discuss management for the season ahead. When the group met in February they reviewed the yield and quality results from the swards during the 2024 season. The group have also committed to meeting up on a regular basis on each other’s farms during the 2025 growing season to share their experiences. Silage yields and quality will be assessed over the 2025 season and compared to conventionally managed grass swards on the project farms. Jason Rankin, Manager at AgriSearch added, “Research into lowering the use of artificial nitrogen is a priority of AgriSearch - not only does this offer the potential for farmers to save money on the purchase of fertiliser but it also helps to lower carbon emissions since and fertiliser use accounted for around 20% of GHG emissions across our Beacon Farm Network in Northern Ireland”. The farmers in the project are building their knowledge and experience of growing and utilising red clover on their farms - this project will help give farmers across Northern Ireland a better understanding of the potential and suitability of red clover for silage. Public farm walks are planned for the summer and details will be released soon on the AgriSearch website. The ZeroNsile is an on-farm research project funded by AgriSearch with AFBI providing scientific and technical support.
